I saw soooooooo many of my kind of shirts there!

I specifically want Indian long-sleeve tops not because I'm somewhat obsessed about some aspects of the Indian culture, but because they're knee length, most of them.

And the design contrasts. As in the overall colour of the shirt may be blue but the embroidery on it are orange or pink or white in colour.

There are now Malay kurtas. But Malay kurtas tend to have embroidery that are of the same colour as the whole shirt but of a different shade. Or a diff colour but it complements the overall colour. The embroidery is mostly of flowers. Not a bad thing but heh, I just prefer Indian embroidery more =D

I don't really like Malay kurtas actually, cuz most of them stop at mid-thigh. I prefer knee-length cuz obviously, it covers the thigh, but also because it makes my upper torso look longer.

I happen to have a lot of mid-thigh ones unfortunately. Maybe I'll donate them to Salvation Army or sell to Cash Converters once I find enough knee-length ones.

And they're so cheeeeeeeap. Knee length ones I mean. $10, $12. Ok that's it, my Hari Raya collection this year, half set aside for knee-length kurtas.

And loose drawstring pants. Or just loose pants. Or pants that look like skirts like Nani's.

Oh and I'm going to JOHOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!! This SUNDAYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!

I'm done with my Tiramisu trailer!

We're supposed to make a 1 and a half minute trailer for Tiramisu's pilot episode (which was a couple of yrs ago i think).

I make it sound all Spanish haha! I used Latin music as the background music. Maybe I'll post it here when I've submitted it to my tutor...

I actually like editing the trailer! But stressful cuz u must know exactly when and what u want to cut out from the show.

And you have to know how to make the transition of the scenes synchronise with the music you've chosen...

I chose 3 different songs! All instrumental. Ok actually the last song in the trailer is Nelly Furtado's one but it was the vocal-free intro part so yeah =D

Eheheh I like looking at Matthew McConaghuey. I usually prefer dark haired celebs but he's an exception cuz I like his hands and he looks like those Greek god statues.

She started going back in and waved at me on the way. I waved back! Wheeeeee!

Cuz otw to tuition, on buses usually, lil kids always stare at me...and when I smile they smile back and start being hyper...

I think it's my big eyes wahaha

So yeah I kinda miss kids staring at me like I have some angelic glow around me (ok Maira dah start perasaan)

But I still smile at little kids if I see them. Esp babies heheh. Oh and I miss cats too.

I din wanna wear my sch shirt and skirt not only cuz it looks odd (yes I'm saying u girls look odd whahaha!) but BUT

Because it didn't represent me in sec sch

Not tt I wore my PE shirt all the time la but...

It was Sec 1 when I ditched pop for rock... and it started with AVRIL LAVIGNE...

Hence the tie, the two layered shirt and the thick eyeliner...and my wild side

Of course now Avril is all girly, but hey I really like the song Girlfriend! Everytime hear that song I want to break out into cheerleader moves... I have a lot in mind haha!

Aksara: Malay History exhibition

It's pretty cool... Saw old Qur'ans and replicas of stones that had old Malay scripts such as Pallava hacked onto them...

And I saw a bible written in Jawi! I could clearly read Kitab Injil on the top of the page seh... Cuz Europeans come to the Malay archipelago to not only establish trade but also to spread Christianity...so they adapted to the situation and wrote bibles in Jawi script...

Pretty awesome stuff...If I have the time I'd go there again...Too bad I can't snap away there...

I finally bought a planner! Weekly one! Pretty cheap...

Was tempted to buy a shawl after Maghrib but I controlled myself...

But then I popped by the vid store near my house and rented a Hindi film... planning to watch later in the morning... Biler lagi seh nak tgk...

And bought my current drink obsession, Strawberry Milk Tea!

K. I actually wanted to rant about the whole globalisaion thing on Saturday. Maybe I'll just say what caused me to squeeze a long rant into the opinion and suggestion box on the survey form.

There were two makciks sitting behind Din. They kept making comments about how todays' kids use English for every little thing. Their root in culture's gone.

They sounded very resentful. Which made me realise that one of the major things that hinder Malays from progressing as well as other races have was the strong hold we have on culture.

Well, not all Malays. Not me. But most. It's not a bad thing. No it's not really about culture. It's more like the resistance to conform. For the better. Conformity here refers to speaking good English.

I get their point. I'm a prime example. My English is good but my Malay suffered. I'm not very proud of that especially since I so very badly wanted to make a comment and sindir the two makciks indirectly but my Malay sucks so bad that I think they would've sneered at me.

Can't help it right? Can't speak good English, can't progress much in this modern world of ours.

I could rant longer, I realise, BUT I don't wanna bore you.

Original plan was to buy a nice organiser. But I just HAD to go look at shoes.

And ended up buying new sneakers.

SIGH.NVM. At least now I know where to buy a nice organiser. Under $10. Under $5 even.

Oh OH BUT I saw a really nice pair of red heels! The heels are low but it's not those leathery types that WAY too many people wear nowadays. It's dark red with outer lace covering...WARGHHHH

But I like my new sneakers! Damn shiny.

Oh oh And I checked out the shop Kak Zaf recommended to me. The stuff there are pretty nice but u noe wat they say.

When I got there I was wondering where the crowd was. And I tell you ar, I got more sun today as compared to at the beach.

I found the crowd at Mustafa. Heheh. Mustafa's pretty strict now, you gotta surrender your shopping bags or luggage at the bag deposit counter before going in.

I got Strawberry Milk Tea there. I figured that since milkshake is ice-blended and will melt fast, I'd rather take something with ice.And to freeze milkshake with pearls is not a good ting to do cuz pearls don't taste as nice frozen. I wonder how the center part gets frozen actually.

I walked around the new AMK hub mall. Or whatever it's called. Hmmm. Nothing much really. Except for the fact that the Bus Interchange was within the mall like at Toa Payoh's. As in the queues were within the mall la.

Tired seh. Heheh. Should do that WITH company. And with enough energy.

And money too I might add.

You know what? Out of all the Marvel Comics cartoons I like best, I liked watching Spiderman the most. NO not cuz he's a freelance photographer. But because he has monologues unlike other characters whose personality is revealed only through observation.

Kinda like me. I have monologues frequently. Which is why speaking in front of the teleprompter cam that time was quite manageable for me. Cuz I'm so used to smiling and talking to myself.

U all shoud know that rite...

And Spiderman always had witty monologues. Awesome humour.

Sorry la I'd just watched Spiderman 2. I'm really lagging behind in movies =(. Hindi AND English.

I've realised that what I've felt all this while may not have been what I thought it was

And I've been denying the latter feeling I've had for the latter because I was so damn stubborn

I didn't want to give up that easily

It's been the other. I was denying it because I was so darn reluctant.
